ROUTEL PUBLIC
ROUTEL PUBLIC SYSTEM
The TELLINK ROUTEL PUBLIC system is a series of equipment that allows to completely
manage and remotely control a telephone call shop. It is possible to automatically select the
most cost-effective route in each call (LCR), including switching to alternative GSM networks,
cable or LMDS. It carries out the administrative operation of the call shop (generating bills, call
histories, viewing the number dialed by booth, cost, call duration, etc). The system may be
remotely controlled through the Routel Public Remote application.
System comprised of:

     • Routing Rack to insert the routing cards and the line switching system. The system is
scalable up to 16 RTC outputs and 6 alternative GSM/LMDS.
     • Viewing Display, one per booth, showing the parameters of each call (duration, cost,
     remaining credit, etc).
     • Call shop local management software.
     • Routel Public Remote call shop remote control software.
1.- Technical characteristics.

     • Selecting the lowest cost route in each telephone call.
     • It allows 4 time brackets per day, different ones for weekends and holidays.
     • Up to 16 different operators.
     • Up to 1500 international destinations and 200 local and regional destinations.
     • Billing is automatically or manually generated.
     • Generation of usage ticket and history of calls made indicating the destination, duration,
     output operator, and booth used.
     • Access from a remote management center to dump usage histories, CALL-HOME, line
control (line cut-off, credit assignment, routing, prefixes, cost and sale rates, etc).
     • Capacity to manage up to 64 booths.
     • Routing selected through interconnection or node access.
     • Individual routing per booth.
     • Billing start through pole reversal, DTMF tone send, push-button trigger on display,
     # key on the telephone, automatic voice sensing (CALL-PROGRESS).
     • Automatic generation of local and regional prefixes for all billing districts.
     • Automatic or manual invoice generation upon call on-hook.
     • Prepay system per booth.
     • Generation of reports by destination, previous, operator, user, invoicing, etc.
2.- Mechanical and electric characteristics.

A.- Mechanical.
     · Of the routing RACK:
Chassis 19" wide, 3 units high, and F2 depth to house:
          · Power supply and control source, 3" wide, F2 depth.
          · Up to 8 bilinear cards, 1'5" wide and F2 depth.
          · Up to 3 GSM bilinear cards, 1'5" wide and F2 depth.
     · Of the viewing unit: display on desktop/wall equipment: 125x85x45mm.
     · Of the management software: compatible with Windows 98 version or higher, database
       compatible with ACCESS 97™.

B.- Electric.
     · Of the routing RACK:
          · Power supply and control source: 220 VAC, 50 Hz.
          · RTC bilinear card: 4 RJ11 telephone connectors.
          · GSM bilinear card, 2 RJ11 connectors.
     · Of the viewing unit: desktop/wall equipment with remote supply from the routing RACK.
3.- Functional characteristics.

Post-payment operation.
It indicates the call's duration, destination, and cost. With on-hook from either end, it
automatically generates the bill or allows to obtain a detailed listing of all calls pending billing
made from that booth.

Prepay operation.
It indicates the duration of the call in progress, the usage time remaining, and the
destination. It issues a sound signal when the credit is about to expire.

Routing tables and destination costs.
Minimum cost routes.
It allows up to 16 different operators, with the possibility of selecting different destinations for
each one and associating a time bracket per destination. Therefore, it is possible to use the most
onvenient operator according to the time and destination.
It allows to select operators according to booths.

Scalability.
Modular rack from 2 to 16 lines.
Management capacity of up to 64 booths.

Remote programming.
From a management center, it is possible to modify the routing profile, prefixes, cost and sale
rates, the operators by destinations, as well as to receive the histories of the calls made.

Monitoring screen.
From the screen located in the call shop control computer, it is possible to view in graphic
format the status of each telephone booth and the conditions of the call in progress (duration,
cost, destination, etc).
